Microgaming has been launching quite a few slots from SpinPlay Games this year, and among several others that they’ve designed, I’d like to mention the Amazing Link series especially. Amazing Link: Riches, which we’re looking at today, is the third game of this particular series, which is entirely based on the streak respin mechanic (Amazing Link is their name for it). Theme-wise, it’s inspired by Irish luck, while previous titles used Ancient Greek gods.

The top jackpot of this game reaches 5,300x the stake, volatility is going to be medium-high, and the Return to Player can be up to 96.33%. Amazing Link: Riches Betting and Prizes

20 coins are going to be required for the 18 active lines used in this game. You can get away with a bet as low as $0.20, but there is enough room there for you to go up, even as high as $50 for a spin.

The top prize that one can claim after playing through a spin in Amazing Link: Riches, is going to be worth 5,300x the round’s stake. A lot of that can come from the Mega Jackpot, which is worth 5,000x the stake.

96.33% is the amount that the slot is expected to pay back its players, over its entire life. This is the Return to Player. At the same time, since the volatility is mentioned as a medium-high, there is quite a bit of risk for most players.

Slot Features

A fairly common feature in slot machines, but interesting nonetheless, the stacked wild will be used to help you get more wins. Taking over 1 to 3 positions on the reel, it will be fairly easy to get, and it can contribute to all active lines. You use wilds as substitutes only for the regular symbols, not for the scatters.

One of the main features in this game will be the free spins. These can get triggered through special Pot of Gold scatters, which will be required to land at the same time on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th columns.

During the free spins that follow, you’re guaranteed an Amazing Wild Reel. This randomly chosen reel will display only special wilds, which act both as substitutes and as Amazing Coin symbols, which just makes it more likely for the respins to trigger.

Amazing symbols, the Coins that land with prizes mentioned on them, will be useful to you most if you can get at least 6 at the same time. Otherwise, you just collect them, and if there are enough of these rounds where you didn’t get enough, eventually you will get access to the slot’s main feature.

At random, you might also get access to a picking feature, where you need to find three matching jackpot logos, in order to claim their prizes. Those are the same jackpot that can be claimed through the Amazing Link mechanic, going as high as 5,000x the stake.

As for the main feature, Amazing Link can be triggered when you get a minimum of 6 Coins in view. Each of these Coins will remain sticky, and 3 respins will begin. Get more Coins to land and stick around, to reset the respins back to the original 3 rounds.

You either run out of respins, or you fill the reels with Coins, those are the ways to reach the end of the feature. A prize will be paid for each Coin you collected, and there are additional fixed jackpots that one can claim (20x to 5,000x the stake).

Theme & Design

Amazing Link: Riches will be an Irish-themed slot machine, the first one of this type in the series. The first two were based on Zeus and Apollo, deities from Ancient Greek mythology. They chose a classic Irish look for Riches though. The reels are placed on the side of a huge pot of gold, with the rainbow coming down to it from above.

Symbols give us images of half a dozen Royals in the low positions, followed by premium symbols showing beer, top hats, toadstools, a wishing well, coins (Amazing symbols), four-leaf clover wilds, and a pot of gold scatters.

Conclusion

Overall, it’s a slot machine to enjoy, especially so if you like the streak respin mechanic. There is more to the game than just the Amazing Link respins though, and so it’s a decent alternative to an increasing number of slots offering those same options.
