Aquatic Treasures 2 was designed by Gold Coin Studios for Games Global’s platform (which acquired the Microgaming collection). This is the second release that we’re seeing in this particular series, and once again it’s a treasure and sea-themed slot, with plenty of gorgeous underwater creatures and vegetation for it to show off.
5x3 reels are spinning in Aquatic Treasures: Coast 2 Coast, and you will discover 10 lines on them, which are capable of paying both ways. Don’t go in expecting a big prize, it offers at most 800x the round’s stake, but that’s not that bad in a medium volatility release which also has an RTP of up to 96.06%. Slot Features
One of the things that I appreciated about this slot, is that the winning combinations can be formed both ways. While there are only 10 active paylines, each of them will be capable to form combinations both from left to right and from right to left.
Though you’re only seeing it land on reels 2, 3, and 4, the Dolphin Wild is going to expand and will take it over completely. While you get this one only on three reels, they’re used as substitutes for both regular and bonus symbols, so that sort of makes up for its limitations. Otherwise, don’t expect direct rewards to come from these wilds.
One more feature symbol is used, a bonus symbol that’s showing a pearl with two golden dolphins around it. These are symbols that need to land on consecutive reels, 3 to 5 times, beginning from either the leftmost or the rightmost reel. While the consecutive reels are a downside, at least you can get help from wilds in this, as they will substitute for bonus symbols.
With 3 to 5 of these bonus symbols lined up on the right reels, you get 10 to 20 free spins, along with a prize of up to 10x the round’s wager. The free spins can be retriggered, and the reels get additional expanding wilds on them for the duration of this feature.
Theme & Design
For its theme, we’re finding that Aquatic Treasures: Coast 2 Coast takes the same approach as most ocean-themed slots. It’s placing the action underwater, and you’re seeing corals at the bottom, along with appropriate symbols for its reels.
Those symbols start us with four top Royals (J-A), followed by images of seahorses, starfish, turtles, and manta rays. The wild is the Dolphin, and the Pearl is the bonus symbol.
Conclusion
Aquatic Treasures: Coast 2 Coast doesn’t have a great set of features or big rewards to motivate its players, but the reduced volatility and the chosen theme might attract some attention from casual players anyway.
