The Bounty Slot Review

The Bounty Slot Big Image

Available as an exclusive slot machine to Microgaming casinos, The Bounty is designed by an independent studio which designs such games for the bigger company. In addition to this game, they’ve also created slots like The Vault or Miami Glow in the past, which were also offered through Microgaming. In this one, we’re seeing a different type of slot, their first Wild West themed title, and a game where they’re doing some things right (features, payouts) and missing the mark on others (graphics).

The Bounty gives the player 5x3 reels, and there are only 15 paylines active within the game area. You are going to have access to several wilds, multipliers, free spins and bonus games. The latter can end up delivering jackpots of up to 5,000x the stake even, and the RTP is at the right level, 96.08%.

The Bounty Betting and Prizes

$0.01 is the minimum line bet allowed, which means that you need $0.15 to spin the reels in The Bounty. This slot allows for line bets of up to $3 though, which means that the maximum bet is $45.

If you’re looking for regular winning combinations, those will bring you up to 100x the stake on each line, and up to 1,500x the stake per spin (3,000x if 2x wild multipliers help). The bonus game will do even better, with 5,000x the stake being the upper limit that can be paid inside.

Naturally, you don’t get that much from a casual slot. Instead, you’re getting one with medium to high variance, so it can be quite risky for most players in the short run. Long-term, its RTP is 96.08%.

Slot Features

The symbol showing the Deputy’s Badge, the silver one, is a regular wild that can pay 100x the stake on its own (same as the top symbol), but which you typically get to use as a replacement.

Next, you have a bronze-colored Badge as well, which is going to be the 2x wild multiplier. Have it show up as a substitute in new combinations, and it doubles the value of the prizes paid.

8 free spins will trigger whenever you get a minimum of three scatter symbols on the reels. The initial multiplier is 2x for all wins, but it goes up by 1x whenever Dynamite symbols land. You also get additional free spins, for each new Bullet symbol that shows up.

A bonus game, called Bounty Jackpot, is the one you can count on, to win the slot’s biggest jackpots. All you need, is for a stacked Bounty symbol covering the 5th reel. You have a feature where you collect Wanted Posters, and you can get one of the five jackpots from them. The top one is typically worth 1,250x the stake, but the presence of Golden Posters will double the win, which could lead to 5,000x the stake being paid out.

Theme & Design

You’re looking at a game with a Wild West story, the usual one which involves sheriffs, robbers and gold miners. You see these as the top paying symbols, and they’re not that well designed unfortunately. Actually, it’s the Royals that look good here, at least compared with other Microgaming slot machines.

Conclusion

The Bounty might not be the best looking Wild West game around, but it makes up for it in other ways, particularly when it comes to features and the payouts which can be triggered.
