Coin Bash Slot Machine: Review & Demo
Microgaming is back at it, with a brand new exclusive slot game, this time one that Snowborn Games created for them. Coin Bash is the name they gave it, and it will be a fairly typical game for their collection. You will find good quality graphics inside, along with a list of features that should feel familiar if you’ve played other Microgaming exclusives lately. Whether that’s a good or a bad thing, it depends on how much of a fan you are, of these features.
Coin Bash delivers 20 active lines, on its 5x3 reels. It’s a slot machine with pretty good top prizes, going up to 5,000x the stake, in a slot with a 96.12% RTP and medium volatility. Its best features range from wilds and instant cash prizes, to free spins where multipliers of up to 5x can be claimed.
Coin Bash Slot Betting and Prizes
$50 is the highest point that your wagers can reach, but the minimum is at only $0.20, so pretty much any type of budget is accommodated.
Given the wagers which are allowed, up to 5,000x the stake paid in a single round, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that a $250,000 top jackpot is on the table. It’s the sort of excellent top prize that a lot of Microgaming slots are capped at.
The difference here, is that there are a couple of different ways to get there, plus this is a medium volatility title, and as such these high level prizes are not a given. RTP is 96.12%, but there are lower levels as well, for casinos to choose from (RTP ranges have come to Microgaming’s collection).
Slot Options
The W wild is going to be one of the features that are a bit easier to come by, as their effect on the gameplay is not always major. Usually, it will assist with the formation of various smaller winning combinations, being used as a replacement symbol in them. At times though, you could get wilds to group up and form combinations directly, which is ideal since they pay the most, up to 125x the stake per line (2,500x for a full screen in the base game, more during free spins with multipliers).
We also find the Piggy Bank among the major features of Coin Bash. It’s a scatter symbol, whose only job is to land as many times as possible, in order to get you paid. You can win anywhere from 1x to 5,000x the stake, and the requirements for each jackpot level can be seen on the ladder from the left side of the screen. Up to 9 scatters are needed.
One other way to get more scatters, is through a randomly triggered Cash Spin, which can come at any point, even during free spins.
There is a fairly impressive free spins feature as well. Involving the use of 3 scatter symbols with the Lucky Star, all of them visible on the middle reels, the game gives you access to a wheel which spins to reveal your prize. It could bring anywhere from 10 to 20 free games, where a multiplier of up to 5x is available to apply to all wins. Collecting 7 of these Lucky Stars, will lead to a retrigger of the free spins, with an increased multiplier by 1x.
Theme & Design
There isn’t much of a theme going on in this one. We’ve found a series of fortune, money, or piggy bank symbols on those reels, and that’s pretty much it. Not exactly a unique theme, but I think you will like the design in any case, it’s modern enough.
There are three top symbols showing stacks of coins, along with symbols of lucky horseshoes, clovers, spades, and hearts. Feature symbols have the W logo (wild), a Lucky Star, and the Piggy Bank.
Conclusion
Coin Bash offers a series of good features, but they’re not very different from those that you typically get in Microgaming slots, particularly the exclusive ones that we’ve seen from independent developers in recent years. If you like the style, give it a shot, it has good volatility/top payouts.
