Crazy 80’s has the kind of theme that you’re likely to see in a slot or two from other developers, so it’s not entirely unique. The topic is obviously based on the 80s, a decade that has left its mark in a lot of people’s lives. From the electronics and magazines of the time, to tapes with music, boom boxes and the fashion style which was in favor during those years, there are plenty of things on the reels to remind you of the good old times. The slot feels a bit too basic in a lot of ways though, specifically where features are involved, since you only get a wild symbol and a scatter. Payouts of $25,000 seem to be possible, in this slot with 5 reels & 9 lines.
Betting and Prizes
The slot makes it easy enough for you to place your wagers. You get a total of 9 lines, and for each one that you decide to activate, you need one coin. The value of that coin is left up to you as well, the maximum amount possible being at $5. With 9 lines active, the maximum bet could be worth $45.
The best prize of the game comes from the Blonde Girl, which will pay 5,000 coins back, in exchange for a combo of five icons arranged on the same line. It could mean $25,000 cash, as long as the denomination was set to $5 that spin.
Crazy 80's Slot Features
The Microgaming slot’s features are a bit more on the basic side than I like to see in a modern 5 reel title. You get the wild symbol and the scatter, and that’s it.
The Boom Box is the one which the developer chose for the wild feature. You can get this symbol in a role where it can substitute for any other icon that is needed in its spot, with the exception of the scatter. You can form combinations which have both wilds and regular symbols that match in them. Wilds don’t pay by themselves and they don’t apply any multipliers either.
The scatter, with the image of the girl’s shoes, will provide you with some decent payouts, but will not be impressive in any way, and you shouldn’t expect anything extra from it. You just need 3, 4 or 5 scatters, and you get paid 2x, 10x or 50x the amount you used in your wager.
Theme & Design
The graphics style does belong in the past, though the graphics do look better than they would’ve been if they really were from the 80s. You don’t get a superb design here, not even close, the symbols coming with black backgrounds, while behind the reels you have a checkered floor style design. The symbols with the connection to the 80s give you the girl, her outfit, magazines, lipstick and various objects that you might’ve owned at the time, from the Rubik’s cube, to cassettes or sunglasses.
Crazy 80s slot is way too bland when it comes to the design and its features, plus its payouts don’t really impress either. I’d say go with another game, unless you really want the 80s theme.
