Diamond Force Slot Review
The latest superhero themed game to be made available at casinos, will be Diamond Force, a slot which was designed by Crazy Tooth Studio. This developer is an exclusive supplier of games for Microgaming, and a partner of theirs, so the slot will likely be available only at casinos which have a partnership with this company. It’s not a branded release either, it has various random superheroes which don’t feel familiar, so it doesn’t have fans waiting to try it out.
The game has 5x4 reels, with the wins coming via 1024 ways to win. There are wilds, Team-Up features and bonus spins, but that’s about it for the slot’s major features. A top prize of 13,175x the stake provides an impressive incentive for players that would want to try it out, but you should expect the High volatility of any game with big rewards. Even so, I like that they kept the RTP at a good level, of 96.53%.
Betting and Prizes
$0.10 is the smallest bet that you can select, for an upcoming spin of Diamond Force. There are higher bets as well, of up to $10 per spin, so those interested in risking a bit more, can do that.
In exchange, the game will offer high rewards, with up to 13,175x the stake being promised here. It’s a big reward, and it’s to be appreciated, especially for games which are joining Microgaming’s collection. It’s going to be one of the few High volatility slots to join the company’s line-up lately, and the RTP is at 96.53%, which I also like.
Diamond Force Slot Features
Some of the features used here are typical for the genre, but there are a couple which feel different.
First, you will find that the first and last reels of this game will feature Diamond wilds at times. Only two out of five reels can get them, but they’re still interesting. You have them as substitutes, and they can contribute to a variety of winning combinations, provided that the other required symbols are also in position.
The superhero symbols are stacked, covering 3 positions when fully visible on a reel. Their presence could be enough to bring you another feature, and there are two possible options there.
One is to have three stacked superheroes visible in a single round, either of the same type or different ones. There will be a single spin in a Team-Up feature then, where the triggering symbols contribute to the new game area and deliver wins.
Second, there is also the possibility to trigger 3 or more free spins, by having two superheroes on the reels, along with a 5th reel bonus symbol. Additional spins can come as well, with up to 20 rounds available in total.
Theme & Design
Diamond Force might have a superhero theme, and that’s something that works for plenty of games, but they’re not named. You see them coming in different colors and costumes, some with wings, others with rays shooting out of their hands, and so on. This is not a branded game though, so a lot of the potential appeal is lost. Other symbols include the Royals, which have lower value. The feature symbols are the Diamond and the Bonus.
I liked Diamond Force overall, but there is definitely room for improvement. Payouts, RTP and even the features are good enough though.
