Double Lucky Line Slot Review
Via Just For The Win and Microgaming’s platform, we find yet another Chinese themed slot machine, called Double Lucky Line. The game features the usual graphics of the genre, has a couple of bonuses that look interesting, but we will talk more about it and how it fares, in our review.
Double Lucky Line is a game with 5x3 reels, which get 17 paylines active each round. You have wins of up to 2,500x that could trigger for you, or for any other lucky player, and that could mean a top jackpot of $250,000. With both regular and double symbols forming combinations, as well as wild symbols, scatters and free spins, you get several good bonus features here. It’s a game with Medium volatility, which should end up paying 96.02% back to the player, over its entire life.
Double Lucky Line Betting and Prizes
10 coins are required to be part of the slot’s wager, and in exchange you’re going to have 17 active lines that you can use. You spend between $0.10 and $100, for each round, with up to $10 used for each coin.
As for the prizes that you could take home, the game’s capped at 2,500x, so it could offer up to $250,000 cash. If you look at its individual combinations, some paying even up to 300x total stake by landing double symbols only, the slot should be capable of offering even over 5,000x, so the developer appears to have capped the game’s payouts.
You don’t get a very risky new slot machine here, but its Medium volatility doesn’t signal extreme forgiveness either, if luck isn’t on your side. RTP wise, with its 96.02%, it does alright for the genre.
A major feature for Double Lucky Line, comes from the use of both single and double symbols, which is possible for all types, even for scatters and wilds. You can get either one or two objects of the same type in a symbol, and it will count as 1-2 symbols for a combo. For example, if you have five matching double symbols on the same line, then they count as a 10-symbol win.
You can get wild symbols in Double Lucky Line, in both regular and double variants, and so when they contribute to a combo they count as one or two symbols, respectively.
A random wild feature may trigger as well, adding 2-6 wilds in positions occupied by regular symbols.
The Double Lucky Line is an active payline located on the middle row, where all symbols are considered doubles, and will pay accordingly.
Via scatters, 5 or more needed, you can get the free spins to trigger. Once again, you have both single and double scatters, and both will count when getting to that minimum requirement. You win 10 free spins for those first scatters, and 1 more for each new scatter after that. Up to 25 free spins can trigger. As an extra feature, you have here the Lucky Wild.
Theme & Design
It’s a basic Chinese themed game, nothing interesting or original about it. The design is typical as well, using plenty of red and gold, along with the usual decorations. As symbols, you either get Royals of low value, or icons with logos, turtles, dragons or frogs.
Double Lucky Line is going to be an OK game only, and mostly because of its use of double symbols, which is not a feature that you find often in slots. Otherwise, in most ways it’s quite a common game.
