Egyptian Tombs Slot Machine: Review & Demo

Egyptian Tombs Slot Demo

Designed by Snowborn Games, Egyptian Tombs will be available exclusively at Microgaming operators, being the result of a partnership between the two companies. Theme wise, it’s all about Ancient Egypt, but luckily there are some important features to look forward to, so there are definite advantages to trying this one out.

Egyptian Tombs offers 5x5 reels, and you will find a total of 3125 ways to win there. Quite powerful for a slot machine, and you can walk away with wins of up to 10,000x the stake, all while volatility is high and the RTP at 96.18%. Moving on to special features, the list includes bonus wheels, wilds, free spins or scatters.

Egyptian Tombs Betting and Prizes

Select the wager, and you may get going with the game. $0.20 will be a good enough amount to start with, but there is the option to wager up to $24 as well.

10,000x the stake, or up to $240,000, will be the most that a player can win while playing Egyptian Tombs. One way to get there, is via special scatter symbols, which you need landing up to 10 times, the return being impressive and instant in such a case.

Due to the higher payouts which are possible, the gameplay needs to be risky for most players, and so the volatility is high. Over a longer period of time, the game is expected to behave as well as any other, and the RTP of 96.18% tells us that. Keep in mind though, that individual players will likely not feel it as average as that figure suggests.

Slot Features

Egyptian Tombs gives you a couple of decent features to try out, but they’re not going to be quite as impressive as you might like. They appear to be borrowed from a number of other new slots from Microgaming.

Wilds are present in the slot, and they can be used as substitutes, so they are helpful in triggering new wins. They may not replace scatter symbols.

Super Spins is a random bonus that you can get as you play, and it adds to the reels symbols of high value or scattered Ra icons, which will be used as wilds during the free games.

Regular Tomb Free Spins are available as well, but first you will need Scarabs landing in view, to get access inside. Once the feature triggers, a bonus wheel decides on the number of spins that you will receive, and the range appears to be 5 to 50 rounds.

A big part of the slot’s feature is the Eye of Ra scatter, which you want to get at least 5 times, and ideally as many as 10 times in a single round. The rewards you see mentioned on the left side, will be awarded by them. Up to 10,000x the stake is paid in this manner.

Theme & Design

Don’t expect anything too impressive from its graphics. Ancient Egypt has been done to death, and while the major symbols from Egyptian Tombs do look almost hand drawn, there are plenty of slots which do as good of a job.

As the game’s symbols, we’ve found images of the Scarabs, Eye of Ra, Cleopatra, Bastet, Horus, Ankh, Pyramids, but also a series of less appealing Royals.

Conclusion

Egyptian Tombs is not a bad game, but it’s not going to be original either. The theme, design and features are all things you can get somewhere else. Still, I appreciated the excellent rewards which are possible inside, and it can be a solution for someone, just not something that’s unique to it.
