Foxpot Slot Review
Foxpot, a Foxium production which is available exclusively to Microgaming casinos, looks like a classic 3-reel title at first, but there are quite a few more features than in those slots, and the graphics are better as well. Ultimately, it’s still a classic if you go by theme/symbols alone, as those haven’t changed much. Considering the potential of the slot, along with everything else we know about it, it’s going to be fun for a lot of players, especially as its volatility isn’t quite as high as the top payout makes it look like.
You play on 3x1 reels, where you only get 1 active line. A 4th reel shows multipliers, which can be applied to regular wins. You also have wilds that you can use, along with Wheel of Fortune style bonus game, which can bring impressive rewards. As much as 10,000x the stake can be paid as a result of a single very lucky spin, and yet this is a slot with medium volatility and a 96.31% RTP.
Foxpot Betting and Prizes
Starting out in Foxpot requires a wager of at least $0.20 per spin. You can go up from that point, with an upper limit available at $25. Either way, only 1 line will be active.
While you are not going to be a big fan of the slot’s regular combinations, as those offer only up to 40x on their own, there are multipliers on the 4th reel to improve them. Ultimately, it’s the bonus game that you’re looking forward to. It will pay up to 10,000x the stake, using fixed jackpots, multipliers and respins.
Though it’s not typical for a game with medium volatility like this one, the top payouts are interesting, as you can see above. Long-term, it’s expected for it to have a 96.31% RTP.
At its core, this is a slot machine with 3 reels on which you can form winning combinations, but there is a 4th one as well, and it will have only multiplier symbols on it. If you have both a 3-symbol combo formed, and a multiplier fully visible on reel 4, then the two are combined and the prize is improved.
You will notice that a Fox Wild symbol is in the top position, on the paytable shown on the right upper side. A combo of three wilds pays directly, 8x the stake, but if you don’t have enough visible, you can use 1-2 wilds as substitutes.
The appearance of bonus symbols determines a trigger of the Wheel of Fortune, which is shown in the background. The number of symbols tells you how many of the three wheels will spin for you.
The outer wheel is the one showing you the regular prizes and fixed jackpots. This could bring you up to 1,000x the stake.
The middle wheel has the multiplier, which will be applied to the wins obtained on the first spin. It can go up to 10x, so 10,000x the stake becomes possible at this point.
The third wheel is the one which gives you a respin, if you’re lucky. The respins occur for all three wheels.
Theme & Design
The theme is a classic one at its core, at least if we go by the symbols shown on the reels. Those include images of a Fox Wild, a bonus symbol, the Triple Seven, Double Seven and Single Seven, followed by icons with Watermelons, Lemons, Plums and Cherries. The game show inspired wheel from the background changes things somewhat though, as that’s not standard classic slot fare.
Foxpot is a pretty good addition to Microgaming’s collection of slots, as a title that blends together classic and modern elements very well. It can also pay a lot more than what you’d expect it to be able to.
