In Genies Gems, players are getting a Microgaming slot machine which has a Middle Eastern theme, apparently inspired by the story of the Genie from the Magic Lamp, the one that would grant whoever saved him a couple of wishes. The unfortunate part is that the graphics in the game are very low quality, which is a clue that it’s one of the oldest titles from Microgaming. The fact that it has only 5 lines on 5 reels, or that it lacks features, is another reason to think that. Do expect a big prize from it though, as it can offer $50,000 cash from a single combo.
Betting and Prizes
Given that you have only 5 lines in the Genies Gems slot, you also have to use only 5 coins at most. You decide if you want all the lines active or not. The value of a coin will be anywhere between $0.25 and $5, so you can spend a maximum of $25 on one spin.
The rewards are very good, though that’s understandable for a slot with so few chances to win. There are 10,000 coins which are offered here, for a combo of five Genie icons. The value of those coins could be anywhere between $2,500 and $50,000, depending on the denomination you worked with.
Genies Gems Slot Features
The game lacks any major features, at least if we’re talking about symbols with special abilities. There are no wilds inside, no scatters, free spins or any of the other major features which you might expect from a 5 reel slot machine.
What you do get is the option to form combinations starting from either side of the reels. While most slots will want the combinations to start from the left and to line-up on a line that goes towards the right side, Genies Gems lets you do it the other way around as well, from right to left. The symbols need to be on adjacent positions though, same as in every other slot.
Theme & Design
The design quality is a big problem with Genies Gems online slot. It looks like it was a game that was created in the 90s, and the lack of features reinforces that belief. The symbols which are used on its reels include the Genie, the lamp, diamonds, magic carpets, Middle Eastern buildings and four poker cards. The background picture is abstract, mixing together colors ranging from dark blue to purple.
I wouldn’t recommend you try out this game if you’re a big fan of features, and you expect slot machines to entertain you as well, not just to offer a prize from time to time. This one has nothing truly special about it, has few opportunities for you to get a prize, but at least it can pay well.
