Immortal Creatures Slot Review
Microgaming has released Immortal Creatures at a limited number of casinos so far, and it’s looking like a clone of one of their most popular slots of all times, a 2011 title called Immortal Romance. They’ve changed the story and the design/symbols, but everything else stayed the same. Not the most original game around, but if you’re still playing the older game, you might appreciate seeing some new symbols for a change.
Immortal Creatures has 5x3 reels, forms winning combinations through 243 ways to win, and thanks to them you can walk away with a top payout of 12,150x the stake, all from a single spin. Whether it’s one of the four types of free spins, the Wild Moon feature, scatters or wilds, there should be enough features inside to keep you entertained. The game has volatility on the high side, but we still see the original RTP, of 96.86%, so nothing much has changed there.
Betting and Prizes
You get to play the game with a minimum bet of $0.30, it will be enough to have 30 coins of $0.01 each. At the other end of the range, the maximum bet is worth $30, where coins have a denomination of $1.
The potential of the game is huge, and while Megaways slots will offer even more than this, Immortal Creatures isn’t doing a bad job at giving us a juicy target to hunt. Its top payout, of 12,150x the stake, can be obtained in a couple of ways, with both the Wild Moon bonus and the Bridget Free Spins having the potential to get you there.
As I mentioned above, expect a slot machine with higher volatility, on the risky side as far as gameplay is concerned, but also with a more than fair RTP, of 96.86%.
Immortal Creatures Slot Features
Wild symbols and wild reels, both will make appearances at one point or another, though you should count mostly on getting the former to help you out. You have wild symbols with the game logo, and they show up on all reels. This allows them to create combinations directly, paying the best prizes, of 50x the stake per line (12,150x for five wild reels).
Wild Moon is a random feature, and it has the potential to trigger that top jackpot, which I just mentioned. You get up to five reels turned into full wilds thanks to it, and so up to 12,150x payouts become possible.
Other than that, you also get four types of free spins, activated via 3+ scatters with the Fountain. The first couple of times that you trigger the feature, you get only the Cryo Free Spins (10 rounds & 5x win multipliers, which you can retrigger). Once you get through the 5th, 10th and 15th trigger of the feature, you get additional types of free spins to choose from. These include 15 Ava Free Spins (with up to 6x wild multipliers), 20 Tyler Free Spins (using rolling reels with increasing multipliers of up to 5x) and 25 Bridget Free Spins (with wild fires that can spread to the reels).
Theme & Design
It’s a story that revolves around a professor Cryo, which goes on a search for the Fountain of Truth, along with a couple of students of his. Tyler, Bridget and Ava, along with Professor Cryo, are four of the top paying symbols available inside, along with the griffin and a book. The Royals are the ones of low value, while as features we find the Fountain and the game’s own logo.
Immortal Creatures is not going to offer anything original, it’s just a clone for Immortal Romance, but the story and graphics have changed, and some fans of the original might want a fresh design to look at.
