Immortal Glory Slot Review
Microgaming has a new slot game to offer its customers, and this time we’re looking at a Just For The Win creation, called Immortal Glory. With higher volatility than you might be expecting from Microgaming’s collection, and with bigger payouts as well, the slot combines this with an interesting design that is based on Ancient Greece and their Olympic Games.
Immortal Glory offers you 5x4 reels, along with 40 active lines which are responsible for paying as much as 2,000x on their own, or up to 10,000x with help from its best feature. Announced as a title with very high volatility, it manages to keep a 96.19% RTP along with a fairly low hit frequency of 21.6%, which should give you an idea on just how punishing it can end up to be. The big features revolve around its stacked symbols, stacked wilds, nudging wilds, bonus games and free spins with nudging wilds and potentially multipliers as well.
Immortal Glory Betting and Prizes
Though you do have the option to spend up to $25 on a single spin, this game will also have much lower options for you to use, even as little as $0.10 being enough to trigger the next round.
I like the potential rewards that Immortal Glory will deliver, but the 10,000x which is promised will only come as a result of its bonus game. It’s a lot lower in the base game, up to 200x the stake. If you manage to get there, and then land the right multiplier and combinations as well, the Glory Spins will do a lot better, up to 2,000x the stake.
With a game that has very high volatility, it’s important that we see a good RTP, of 96.19% in this case, but the experience is still going to be a rough one for many players.
Quite a few rounds will bring around stacked symbols, either through top paying symbols or wilds.
The wilds appear with the image of the Olympic Torch, and they are the substitutes that you can have in other combinations, or as part of their own wins. These pay the same amount as the jackpot symbol, a maximum of 5x the stake for a combo. They always land stacked.
Having a minimum of two stacked wilds visible, even if only partially shown on the reel 1 and a second one, gets you 5 free games. The wilds nudge down when they appear, one position at a time, until the area is left. Have at least one of these wilds partially visible at the end, to get a Glory Spin, with a 2x to 10x multiplier that is then applied to wins. The fully visible wilds don’t count for this, and will be removed.
The bonus game is activated via three scatters, which need to show up on the 1st, 3rd and 5th reels. A small feature follows, where your pick decides what kind of jackpot is paid out, ranging from 20x to 10,000x the stake.
Theme & Design
We’re going back to the times of Ancient Greece, and we take a look at their Olympic Games. Several of those sports disciplines are covered, with runners, disc throwers and shot putters being the three premium symbols. The secondary ones give us the wreath, a disc, a shot put and sandals. You also get a couple of feature symbols, including the scatter and the Wild Olympic Torch.
Immortal Glory is a rare sight in Microgaming’s collection, a slot with very high volatility and big potential, coming from Just For the Win. I like it, but most casual players will not enjoy it.
