King Arthur appears to be a Microgaming slot machine which is on the older side. It does have 20 lines though, and it offers elaborate graphics for most of its symbols, but it also sports a betting section which looks like it was borrowed from a classic slot machine. The slot’s theme is quite obviously inspired by King Arthur, of Camelot. The Knights of the Round Table are a famous part of his story, as is the sword Excalibur, which you see here as it’s being extracted from stone. The slot’s feature list gives you wilds with and without multipliers, scatter symbols and bonus games. The big payout is valued at $50,000.
Betting and Prizes
The betting options will let you change how many lines are active (up to 20), how many coins are used for each line (up to 10) and what the value of a coin should be (goes up to $0.50). If you count them all together, you get bets of up to 200 coins, worth $100. The line bet can go up to $5.
A 10,000x jackpot is advertised, offered by a combo of five King Arthur wilds on a line. With the wagers available in King Arthur online slot, the jackpot can be worth $50,000.
King Arthur Slot Features
One of the two wild symbols available in the game, King Arthur is also the only one of the two to offer a multiplier of 2x for the wins to which it contributes as a substitute. It is capable of forming combinations on its own, and it pays the best prize of the slot when it does this.
The second wild symbol will have Merlin as its representative. This symbol also substitutes for other regular symbols, but it doesn’t apply a multiplier, and its own jackpot goes up to 5,000x only.
Excalibur serves as a scatter symbol which will trigger a feature when it is present in 3 or more locations. Depending on the number of triggering scatters, and on how many swords are pulled from the stone, the prizes can vary. They can be from 2x to 16x the bet for three triggering symbols, 10x to 160x for four and 25x to 800x for five.
The last feature I’m going to mention is the bonus game which takes you to Camelot. The Camelot symbol is the trigger, and it has to be on an active line, in 3 to 5 positions. It will bring you a payout of up to 1,600x, and it will trigger a feature where you have to find your road to Camelot.
Theme & Design
As I’ve mentioned in the beginning, there are some elements which feel incredibly dated here, and I’m mostly talking about the betting options area. The graphics on the reels look retro, but in a good way, with intricate poker letters present, with images of King Arthur, of Excalibur, Merlin and Camelot. It looks like the kind of design you would see in an old book, and it’s quite attractive.
The game has plenty of good features, graphics and high payouts to offer, so if you enjoy the legends of King Arthur I’d recommend you try out the slot as well.
