Knockout Party Slot Machine: Review & Demo
A Microgaming-powered slot, Knockout Party appears to be inspired by a boxing match and by the costume party that follows. Not sure if it’s the mascots having fun after the game, or what’s going on there, but there is a line-up of peculiar main characters on its reels. As confused as I am about the slot’s theme, I do love a lot of things about it, from design, to features and top payouts.
Knockout Party will deliver 243 ways to win on its 5x3 reels. It’s a game that has a 12,000x the stake top prize, which has high volatility, but which also offers a proper RTP at 96.80%. It’s designed to be exciting all the time, as features range from wild reels and multiplier wilds, to four types of free spins, each one with a different modifier active.
Knockout Party Betting and Prizes
There are 20 coins in each round’s bet, and the total amount that’s used per spin is between $0.20 and $20.
You are able to claim prizes of up to 12,000x the stake. Given the maximum bet that’s available for you to use, that means a top prize of up to $240,000 cash. You get there with help from several multipliers, some applied by free spins and others by wilds.
As with a lot of other games that can pay very well, the volatility increases as a result. RTP is still good though, at the 96.80% we’ve seen quoted for it.
Knockout Party Slot Features
A 2x multiplier wild (Boxing Glove) will be available for you to use on all reels. It’s a substitute that’s a lot of fun to use, particularly since it will not only double wins it contributes to, but it also creates its own when possible (paying up to 50x per line). You can’t use these wilds as replacements for the game’s scatters, only for the regular symbols.
There is another very cool feature, called Wild KO, which triggers at random moments. Since it can transform up to 5 reels into full wilds, it can bring you the slot’s jackpot by forming 50x combinations on all 243 ways to win.
There will be a scatter symbol as well, the one with the big red button. Landing 3 to 5 times in view, it pays up to 200x the stake, and then triggers a free spins feature. Inside, you get to pick which of the four versions you prefer:
- 10 free games, 5x win multiplier, the possibility to retrigger the feature;
- 15 free games, where Balloons can turn regulars into 2x and 3x multipliers, with up to 6x total possible per spin;
- 20 free games, using Rolling Reels that boost multipliers from 1x to 5x, through consecutive wins;
- 25 free games, which use a Wild Slime on reel 3, to turn regular symbols into wilds. Retriggered via 2-5 scatters, for 1-4 more rounds.
Theme & Design
It’s part boxing themed slot, but mostly the focus appears to be on the after-party. There are four premium symbols that feature costumed characters (as snails, chickens, cactus, and hot dog), along with the trophy, a star, and six Royals (9 to A).
It’s a well designed slot machine overall, with high quality cartoon-style graphics that are a pleasure to watch, even over longer periods of time.
Conclusion
Knockout Party is a good game overall, giving players everything they could want, from a chance to claim big prizes, to lots of features that can boost wins considerably, and even high quality graphics.
