Among the many Microgaming slot machines, we’re now seeing a desert themed title as well. Magic of Sahara has a certain focus on the nomad tribes of the desert, on caravans of traders and on riches which they’re transporting. It’s going to have fairly high rewards to offer, compared with other releases of theirs at least, and it’s going to be fairly simple in other ways.
Things have been kept quite simple in Magic of Sahara, and as you will discover yourself, the game delivers 5 reels with 9 paylines. An RTP of 95.29% is mentioned for the game, and payout wise it can deliver up to $108,000 during its best rounds. Super stacked wilds, tokens and the free spins with 2x multipliers, the feature mix seems good enough in this case.
Magic of Sahara Betting and Prizes
A wager needs to be high enough that it can cover the 9 active lines of the game, which means that you will spend $0.09 at a minimum per spin ($0.01 per line). The wager can be a lot higher if needed, with top values of $45 being possible, which would mean $5 per line.
The game pays up to $6,000 for the right winning combinations, and with the number of lines available, as well as the 2x multipliers used during free spins, you will find that there is potential for wins of up to $108,000 in a single round.
Other figures, to give you an idea on how the slot plays out, would have to include the 95.29% RTP, which is actually somewhat disappointing. The volatility is medium, which allows the game to pay reasonable prizes, without being incredibly risky to play.
Whenever you see the logo of Magic of Sahara appear on the reels, know that you’re looking at the wild symbol. It will be available super stacked on the reels 3 and 4, and regular sized everywhere else, at least for the base game. However, its usefulness improves while in the free spins mode, as at that point it can show up super stacked on all five reels. It’s also when the game makes possible forming winning combinations of the highest value, with up to 1,200 coins offered per line.
As for the scatter, the image for it is that of a bowl which has gemstones and coins in it. Land it several times, and for three to five symbols, the game delivers 25 free spins which benefit from 2x multipliers. Cash rewards of up to 100x total stake are also paid at that point.
The game also allows you to collect tokens, in order to trigger the free spins. These you get when there are Tuareg traders landing on the reels, following which it will transform into a Royal icon.
Theme & Design
The desert doesn’t get a lot of love from slot machine developers, if you don’t take the Ancient Egypt slots into account at least, so the story is interesting in Magic of Sahara. The slot has Tuareg traders for main characters, along with their daughters, camels and plenty of gold coins and gemstones. Sand-colored Royals are in the game as well, for the least valuable icons.
I found Magic of Sahara fairly enjoyable, a decent game for something that wants medium volatility style action, but the RTP of just 95.29% is definitely one of its downsides.
