Microgaming is the developer that is behind Mount Olympus slot. The inspiration is obviously based on Ancient Greek mythology. The location, Mount Olympus, is the place where the gods lived, while Medusa is a creature that can turn men into stone if they stared at her snake covered head. The design style is not necessarily pretty, but it will work for the purposes of this slot. The features have for you free games, scatters and wilds. You also have 25 lines to activate, 5 reels to spin and a jackpot of $5,000 to go after.
Betting and Prizes
Mount Olympus – The Revenge of Medusa has 25 paylines for you, which you can activate as you need to. All you have to do is have at least one coin in the bet for each active line, though you can go even up to 10 coins per line. The value of those coins is another way through which you can change the wager value, since the denomination will range from $0.01 to $0.50. You can wager $5 on a single line, if you want to, and with 25 lines in use you can have up to $125 in the bet.
The Medusa symbol seems to be the one with the best payout, mentioning a 1,000x reward for you, which could mean 10,000 coins, but only $5,000 cash.
Mount Olympus Slot Features
First of all, I’d suggest you look for the wild symbol, since it’s the one that can be of help quite easily, just by being present with one symbol in the right location. Able to substitute for another symbol, a regular one, it can be part of other combinations this way. The only symbol which doesn’t get its help is the scatter.
Of course, a scatter symbol couldn’t have been missing from such a slot machine. You will discover that it uses the logo of the game to represent it. The appearance of these scattered symbols, in 2 to 5 locations, will bring with it a prize which varies from 2x to 50x the wager.
Something else that you can expect from the scatter, is the access to the free spins feature. You get 5 free games from it, during which you can have 1 to 5 reels turned into stone wilds that are locked in place until the feature is over.
Theme & Design
I’m not terribly impressed with what the designers did in this case, the poker cards looking like they are part of some Halloween title for example. The higher paying symbols are better, showing rather abstract images in some cases, or appropriate pics with Medusa and her snakes in others.
The mythology angle shouldn’t come as a surprise, and Medusa has been inspiration for others in the past. This isn’t one of the best games to have this theme, and it doesn’t pay a lot either.
