Munchkins is a slot from Microgaming, where the heroes appear to be some kind of invisible creatures, which like to munch on all sorts of things they can lay their hands on. You see all sorts of objects with bites taken out of them, including homework, wallets and even the poker cards which otherwise look very generic. For its features, the game will deliver wild symbols, a scatter and free spins which double wins. Speaking of wins, the base game can pay $75,000. It’s a slot of 5 reels, with 15 lines.
Betting and Prizes
You’re working with 15 lines, which you may select at will, so you have as many of them active as you want. Whatever the number of lines, you will need at least one coin for each one that is active, though you can have up to 10 per line. These coins have their own values, which you can decide, the minimum being possible at $0.01, while the maximum can reach $0.50. A line bet will get to $5, while the total for one round can reach $75.
The top rewards seem to be quite generous in Munchkins slot. You are promised a 15,000x jackpot from the right sort of combo, which could mean $75,000. You also get a chance to double that, to $150,000, during the free games.
Munchkins Slot Features
To win the big prize, you need five wild symbols on one of the active paylines, together forming a combination that will pay 15,000x. You can get a prize directly from them with as little as two symbols, as long as they are arranged as any regular combo, starting from left and going to the right. If used as a wild, you just need one symbol in order to get some help, and it can replace any other regular symbol.
The Oreo Scatter is another one to look forward to, not as much because of the payouts it can give you, even though at 60x the bet they’re not bad either. Rewards start from 1x the bet for two scatters, but the best one of 60x needs five symbols.
You can win 20 free spins which have all their wins doubled, if you happen to land between 3 and 5 scatters with the Oreo cookie, anywhere on the reels. You may even retrigger the free spins, if the 3+ scatters make another appearance.
Theme & Design
The game has that interesting theme, of the critters that can appear and take bites of everything. The joke about the munchkin that ate the homework is a favorite of mine in this case, and even though you don’t actually get to see those creatures, it’s still a good theme and an adequate design.
Munchkins has a funny angle, a theme that I haven’t seen attempted before, and very good top payouts, as high as 30,000x if you get them during the feature with free spins.
