Noble Sky Slot Review
If you’re looking for slot machines with big prizes, which don’t have a huge amount of risk incorporated, then Noble Sky should fit the bill quite nicely. The surprise here is that this is a Microgaming exclusive, coming from a partner called Neon Valley Studios. It’s not the type of slot machine that the giant typically offers, they’re a bit stingy with the payouts in most slots, but they’re doing the right thing here. Even better, what you’re playing with, is a slot that offers a Steampunk inspired design.
25 active lines will be in play, using 5x3 reels which will spin each round. Wins of 5,000x the stake are obtainable in a couple of different ways, including here the regular wins with up to 10x multipliers from the Airship Wild Respins, but also the result of a Vault Bonus feature. Ultimately, despite the game’s very high rewards, it’s got only Medium volatility and it keeps the RTP acceptable, at 96.12%.
Noble Sky Betting and Prizes
Selecting the bet for the upcoming spin, that’s all it takes to get started with Noble Sky. $0.25 is the minimum amount required, sending $0.01 to each line. $50 is the upper limit, with $2 line bets involved then.
One of my favorite things about Noble Sky, is that its top jackpot will reach a value of up to 5,000x the round’s stake. There are a couple of ways in which can this be done. One is through regular combinations that typically pay up to 20x each, filling up the reels during the final Wild Respin, if the multiplier is at 10x then. The other is through the Vault Bonus feature, if you can get it to trigger, and if you land the biggest of the four jackpots available inside.
Stacked wild symbols, the one showing us the gorgeous Air Ships, will be among those you get on the reels. These are wild symbols, so the typical way in which you can use them, is as replacements which can get you new combinations.
However, there is also a feature that could trigger with their help. First though, you need an Airship Wild which will cover a full reel. When this happens, the Wild Respins start up, and the Airship starts moving towards the left. The respins continue for as long as you still have the Airship on the reels. Once it leaves the game area, the feature ends. The part which makes the game special, is the multiplier that will apply to wins. The more respins you get, the better the multiplier for the next ones. You start with 1x for the first respin, 2x for the second, and then you get 3x, 5x and lastly 10x for the final one. The closer to the right side that you get the Air Ship wild, the more respins that will be available, and the bigger the multiplier that is reached.
One more feature is implemented, a bonus game called Vault Bonus. You need a gold coin showing up as part of a regular symbol, in order to get a chance at triggering it. You’re guaranteed to get a fixed jackpot then, though the range varies considerably (from 15x to 5,000x the stake, depending on which of the four triggers as a result of your picks).
Theme & Design
The Steampunk style design is to be appreciated, but the cartoon-style look that they’ve went for is not as appealing to me. Even so, the various cogs and wheels that we associate with Steampunk are all there, as are several main characters which are working on that Air Ship. A man, two women, a top hat and a compass, these would be the major symbols, while the minor ones show up as metallic Royals.
Noble Sky should be a pretty good option for most players that are using Microgaming-powered casinos. It’s got a lower degree of risk involved in the short run, compared with other slots that pay 5,000x the stake, but long-term the RTP is about as average as in any other title. I do like the math in this one though, and the chances it offers for you to walk away with a big prize, even if it’s quite unlikely that it will happen.
