Microgaming has recently released a couple of slot machines, which have the same theme, being inspired by ghost busters, but which have different types of layouts. The one we’re looking at here is the 3 reel version of Peek-A-Boo, the classic slot. The design appears to show us a kid that is dressed and equipped as a ghost buster, but he is armed with a plastic toy gun, so the likely explanation is that it all occurs during Halloween, and he actually gets some real action from some not so friendly ghosts. The single feature included here is a wild symbol. You can get paid $30,000, in a game that has 3 reels and 5 lines.
Betting and Prizes
Since every line you use has one coin to activate it, modifying the number of the coins will also determine how many chances you get at a good prize. You have 1 to 5 coins to use, for 1 to 5 lines, and you will set the value of those coins in the usual range of $0.25 to $5, which is usually chosen by Microgaming for its slots. A maximum bet of $25 can be set for one round.
Expect the best payouts to come from the later lines, which should be reason enough to always have all the coins in the bet. The 5th line is the most rewarding, forming a combo that can pay 6,000 coins, or $30,000. It goes down from there, to 4,000 coins on the 4th reel, 3,000 coins on the 3rd one, 2,000 coins on the 2nd line and 1,000 coins on the 1st. It’s nothing unexpected, as this sort of payout system is part of many slot machines with 3 reels and 5 lines.
Peek-a-Boo 3 Reel Slot Features
The feature list is pretty much standard for a game of this type, including only a single wild, so there are no surprises here. This symbol is the same one that will offer you that jackpot when it forms a combo of three Boo Logos. It will act as the wild the rest of the time, helping other symbols do the same.
Theme & Design
The ghost buster theme, mixed with the Halloween, produces a pretty decent slot machine overall. You have a kid in the main role, a mean looking ghost that’s trying to scare him away, and about three different Bar symbols.
Peek-A-Boo, in its 3 reel version, might not be as fun to play as the modern version, but for someone that enjoys simpler titles it should be an OK choice.
