Available exclusively at Microgaming casinos, Reel Splitter has been developed for them by one of their partner studios, called Just For The Win. It’s going to have some interesting mechanics in place, which revolve around expanding reels and ways to win, but more on that below. Coupled with a more classic approach to the design, using fruits mostly, the result is fairly interesting.
You get 4 reels and 81 ways to win for most rounds, but there will be times when the game area expands to include a 5th reel, and at that point you can have 243 ways to win active. For the game’s major features, there are re-spins, free spins with stacked wilds and wins both ways, so overall a decent mix. This helps make the game more appealing, as the rewards of up to $1,200 per combo don’t look great on their own. If all possible ways to win are considered, the game seems to have potential of paying up to $291,600 per spin.
Betting and Prizes
It’s a game which requires only 10 coins to be used, and in exchange it will give you 81 ways to win, or more. You start things off with as little as $0.10 per spin, in which case you’d get a $0.01 denomination for the coins. At the other end, you have a maximum bet of $100, with $10 selected for each line.
Individual wins are on the low side, paying at most 12x the stake, or up to $1,200. Take into consideration the 243 ways to win which are possible at times, and the rewards go much higher, potentially even to $291,600. It’s entirely possible that the developer set a limit on how much the game will pay though, so that’s just the maximum potential of the slot machine, might not be the actual top jackpot.
Reel Splitter Slot Features
One of the more common features available in Reel Splitter, the wild symbol will be present and able to improve the outcome of your spins fairly regularly. It’s a replacement for any symbol that can form a winning combo, same as in other slots.
Re-Spins are triggered when you get a four-symbol combo to form, on the slot’s 4 reels. At that point, a 5th reel will unlock, and it will be placed in the middle of the game area (3rd reel). The other four reels are locked, while the new one re-spins in an attempt to get you more wins. At this point, you’re getting 243 ways to win.
Via 3 or 4 scatters, the game will trigger the free spins for you, with 8 or 16 rounds, respectively. You get 5 reels at all times here, and there are 243 ways to win for you to create wins on. On top of that, you also form combinations both ways, and there is a stacked wild symbol present and locked on the 3rd reel.
Theme & Design
The theme is the least interesting part about Reel Splitter, as it’s giving us a classic look. The symbols found on those reels range from Royals, to fruits and logos. As you can see, there is nothing great there. Fruit wise, we’re looking at the classics, so lemons, plums, cherries and kiwis.
Reel Splitter doesn’t have the most memorable story to tell, but feature wise it can be a very interesting pick.
