Throne of Egypt follows a recipe that’s been tried quite a few times before, that of the Ancient Egypt themed slot machine. This one comes from Microgaming, but the theme is not unusual even for this developer, which uses it in a number of other games of theirs. Perhaps this one looks slightly better than the others though, the design appearing to be an improvement for this category. The game’s 25 lines will deliver symbols with scatter powers, with bonus games and with stacked wilds. Total payouts of $10,000 are offered in Throne of Egypt.
Betting and Prizes
Throne of Egypt is a relatively cheap slot machine to play, even at its highest bet settings, since at most you will be able to spend $25 for one spin, which means $1 for each active line. To get that line bet, you can use up to 5 coins, where denominations will get up to $0.20. The smallest coin value can be set to $0.01.
As for the top prize, it will get up to 10,000 coins, or $10,000. It is a pretty good payout for any game, and Throne of Egypt has at least this one area where it does well.
Throne of Egypt Slot Features
If you aim to get that jackpot, of 10,000x, the wild game logo is the one to offer it to you. Five logos are required to take over an active line, in order for you to get that prize from the slot. The advantage is that the wild is a stacked symbol, which you can get to appear on multiple lines at the same time, so hopefully you might get multiple jackpots from the same round. As for its role as a wild, the symbol is a substitute that has the ability to replace any symbol, with the exception of the scatters.
The Eye of Ra is the bonus icon, a scatter that lands on the middle columns, and which is needed in all three locations before it triggers the Bonus Chamber feature for you. A cash prize is also going to be given, which will reach 15x the bet.
The Bonus Chamber starts off with the Scarab Bonus, where you pick from the bugs until you locate the Key. You go to the Eagle Bonus next, and once again you pick, 3 out of the 9 eagles shown. You have to find the Key to get to the third chamber. The Princess Bonus is offered at this point, where you choose a princess out of the three sitting in front of you, to find out what multiplier will be applied to the amount you’ve won so far.
Theme & Design
I found the design of Throne of Egypt slot to be quite enjoyable, despite the fact that the theme choice is one that is so common. The quality of the symbols helps with that though, despite the presence of common symbols. There is the pharaoh, Cleopatra, Horus, Anubis, treasure chests, canopic jars, the eagle and the scarab.
Throne of Egypt isn’t very interesting if you look at its theme, and even though it has a couple of decent features, I’m afraid it will not be enough to make it a top contender in the category it is in.
