Titans Of The Sun: Hyperion Slot Review
In Titans Of The Sun: Hyperion, Microgaming offers us a slot machine which is inspired by the legends of Ancient Greece. The hero of this game, Hyperion, is one of the twelve titans of those legends, which together with Theia has fathered the Sun, the Moon and the Dawn. This game is actually part of a series, another title from it being the one inspired by Theia. The game’s features include stacked mystery symbols, a scatter, free spins and a wild feature. The 5 reels will get only 15 paylines, and they can bring you top prizes of $25,000.
Betting and Prizes
Titans Of The Sun: Hyperion game will need all 15 paylines active, and so you will have to use a minimum of 15 coins each spin. It will allow you to take that line bet up to 10 coins, and with denominations of up to $0.50. That would mean a maximum line bet of $5, and a total one of $75.
The best reward is offered through the game logo, which is also the wild. Five such symbols on a payline can bring you a prize of $25,000.
Titans Of The Sun: Hyperion Slot Features
First, we have the wild symbol, whose image is that of the game logo, being marked Titans of the Sun. This one gets you the usual advantages, being a way for you to form combinations when it acts as a substitute, and it can also form its own wins and pay you the slot’s top jackpot. The only symbol that can’t be replaced with a wild is the scatter.
Hyperion and Theia, their silhouettes actually, are shown in the scatter symbol. When two or more of these symbols are present on the reels, you can expect a prize from the game, whose value is anywhere between 1x and 100x the bet. With 3 to 5 of these symbols, in addition to prizes you also get access to 15 free spins which can be retriggered along the way.
The feature that is a bit unusual is the one which involves stacked mystery symbols. These are Sun symbols that can appear on the reels, and which will transform into a high or low paying symbol. If appearing during free spins, they can also transform into wilds.
The symbol with Hyperion, a regular one, is also capable of appearing stacked on all the reels, so you can get multiple high paying combinations at the same time when the reels have enough of them present.
Theme & Design
The graphics are quite nice if you only look at the things that have that mythological or Ancient Greece connection. A beautiful background image with temples placed on cliffs next to the sea is visible behind the reels, while on them there are pictures with Hyperion, with Pegasus and the Phoenix bird. The poker cards are the ones that ruin the aspect a bit, the low paying symbols being standard ones, and quite ugly.
I think Titans Of The Sun: Hyperion slot that offers a few good features, but in a lot of ways it is only average. This applies to its top prizes (5,000x), its graphics (half good, half bad) and its number of paylines.
