Wolf Call Slot Machine: Review & Demo

Wolf Call Slot Demo

SpinPlay Games is preparing to release a new exclusive slot machine at Microgaming casinos, and its name is going to be Wolf Call. North America’s forests are once again the source for the wild creatures that will pop up on those reels. Delivering images of beautiful wildlife, and gorgeous views of the mountains in the background gets you started on the right footing, and then delivers awesome features and motivating top jackpots as well.

Wolf Call will have 5x4 reels, which allows it to form combinations via 1024 ways to win. The potential of the game is good, it can pay 10,000x the stake after just one round, provided that the right features come along. It’s not going to be easy to get it to pay that much, as its volatility is high, but at least there is a 96.44% RTP in place. As its biggest features, I’d mention the wilds, the Power Range, multiplier wilds, free spins, and the Diamond Meter with the bonus game that it can trigger.

Wolf Call Slot Betting and Prizes

You’re allowed to pick your own wagers, and they can have a range between the minimum of $0.20, and a maximum of $25 per spin.

There are a couple of different prizes that you can claim in Wolf Call. The obvious one is the 5,000x jackpot that can be claimed through the Diamond Jackpot bonus feature. The upper limit for the slot’s prizes is at 10,000x the stake in a single round, so it looks like the potential is much higher for the free spins feature (with multiplier wilds improved and easier to get there), especially since you’re getting 1024 ways to win (active lines).

With any game that can pay an above-average amount, there will be an increased amount of risk, since the winnings are not as evenly distributed among players. Fewer players will win, but they have a chance at bigger rewards, and that’s the type of slot we’re looking at here, a highly volatile one.

RTP is good, at 96.44%, but that’s just the maximum value. A lower one is also available, and some operators may choose to use it.

Features

Wolf Call has several special features on offer, some of the more common than others.

Among the common options, you will discover the Diamond Wild. The typical way to use it is as a replacement symbol. Have it land on the right reel, and it can contribute to whatever winning combinations are formed through it. Since the slot has ways to win, it’s easier for the wild to help out.

There is a chance to get the wild to apply a 2x multiplier during free spins, but first, it needs to appear on one of the marked positions in the middle of the reels 2-4. A total of 6 symbols are marked as part of the Power Range there.

Those same wilds are also collected in the Diamond Meter, and eventually, this can lead to a bonus game. It’s the one that will pay a jackpot of up to 5,000x the stake, but first, you will have to make picks and find 3 diamonds of the same color.

The main feature would be the free spins, as that’s when your odds of getting to the 10,000x jackpot are best. Landing anywhere from 3 to 5 scatters will get you inside, with up to 20 free games awarded. The main difference comes from the way the Power Range covers the game area, with twice as many symbols part of it now (all positions on reels 2-4). Should the wildland be on one of the middle reels, gains a multiplier that’s at 5x, 3x, or 2x.

Theme & Design

Whether it’s wildlife in general or wolves in particular, both are common choices for the themes of modern slot machines. While SpinPlay Games didn’t do much to give us something new there, at least they worked hard on the design, and the end result is a pleasant one. Whether it’s the main symbols with their wild creatures or the background image with mountains and their rivers, the look is a good one for anyone that loves nature.

Wolf Call will give players a range of symbols, and those start from the least interesting ones, the Royals. Besides the six Royals, we also have five high-value symbols, with the top one being the wolf, followed by the bear, cougar, deer, and American eagle. Other than that, expect to also get scatters and wilds among its symbols.

Conclusion

Wolf Call is not a bad game overall, especially if you like good features. You will find high volatility slots with bigger rewards though, and you have to watch out for the RTP, so it’s not too low.
