Microgaming is collaborating with quite a few developers, in their effort to release more online slots, and with more variety. Zee Strike, which was designed for them by Gameburger Studios, does add to the number of new releases, but I wouldn’t call it a unique game. While some of its features were proven to be quite popular in the past, and they can be fun, this particular slot has the major downside of a disappointing Return to Player.
You’re going to play with 20 active lines, spinning 5x3 reels each round. The top jackpot of Zee Strike will go as high as 2,000x the stake, but the game will have a low RTP, of only 94.06%. From scatters and wilds, to free spins with multipliers, you will get a couple of decent features in Zee Strike, though it’s nothing that you can’t get somewhere else.
Zee Strike Betting and Prizes
Going from a minimum of $0.20, to as much as $60, the betting range of this slot machine should give all players a value that they can use. Either way, there will always be 20 active lines.
What the bet ultimately influences, is the size of the jackpot that you can claim. 2,000x the stake is the highest return that is possible inside, and it could mean as much as $120,000 cash, for those using the maximum bet.
There is one area where the game gets a black mark, and that would be its Return to Player. 94.06% is a value that you don’t want to see in a slot machine, especially as there are so many options going from 96% upwards.
Slot Features
Star Wilds are going to be included in the slot’s list of symbols. It’s a basic feature, with a substitute that can help out when forming smaller winning combinations. There is the possibility to form combinations with only wilds in them, if they line up left to right, and there are 3 to 5 present on that line. The rewards possible then, will go as high as 125x the stake. One thing to note, is that wilds can’t be replacements for scatter symbols.
The first of the two scatters, is the Zee Strike icon. It’s easy to use, you just need 3 to 9 of these scatters on the reels, and in exchange the game pays a fixed jackpot. It’s as low as 1x the stake, or as high as 2,000x the stake (top jackpot).
You also get a free spins feature in Zee Strike, which requires the appearance of 3 scatter symbols with the feature’s logo (reels 2-4). When this happens, a Wheel spins for you, and gives you a combination of free spins with a multiplier. The best option available gives you 30 free spins and a 3x multiplier. Get another set of scatters, to retrigger the feature.
Theme & Design
Zee Strike appears to have a mad scientist kind of vibe, but without actually going into detail and giving us a full fledged design that’s based on that story. There is that one Zee Strike symbol with the scientist, acting as a scatter, but other than that, it’s all about the classic icons, and that’s a disappointment. The other special symbols revolve around images of the Free Spins logo, and the Star acting as a wild. As for the regulars, we have the Triple Seven, Double Seven, Seven, Dollar Sign, Bell, Bar logo, and Cherries.
Conclusion
Zee Strike has a modern design and a couple of popular features, but it’s not the type of slot machine that will surprise. It doesn’t give you much of a reason to play it, at least not once you compare its 94.06% RTP to what’s available in other games that have the same features.
