Microgaming Starts Out The New Year With New Releases

Feeling lucky, now with the New Year just starting out? Then I’d recommend Lucky Twins, Microgaming’s latest release. It’s a charming game, which has just been launched and which is sporting an Asian theme and design. You’re getting a relaxed setting from it, with the soundtrack to help you out along the way. There is a setup that is considered standard inside, with 5 reels of 3 symbols each, while the number of playable lines is at 9. Among the symbols, there will be a wild Fortune Children, as well as a waving cat to wish you luck along the way. The game is available both to play via Flash and software.

Along with Lucky Twins, another Microgaming slot machine which is due to be released in January is called Peek-A-Boo, and it’s another 5 reel game, one with 40 pay lines this time, plus a theme that’s based on ghosts. One of the features of Peek-A-Boo that I’d like to mention is the kid that comes in and zaps the ghosts away, for some quick payouts or free games. The kid will capture the ghosts when they appear on reel 3, and once 10 are collected in the Ghost Meter, you get the free spins, a maximum of 13 rounds being possible. For the duration of these spins, you get 1,024 ways to win instead of pay lines. Peek-A-Boo will have both Flash and software versions.

As for the mobile market, Microgaming launches a slot called Untamed Giant Panda, which is naturally part of the very popular Untamed series. It’s a 243 ways to win title, on 5 reels, with the main features called Your Gamble, Lucky Nudge and Collect a Wild.

Finally, there will also be a game designed for the multi-player market, called Mermaids Millions, and it also launches in January. The original 25 line game with 3 reels was turned into a multi-player version, playable online or on your own PC, now with social elements introduced to it. A maximum of 6 players can be part of the same room, so they see how the others are doing and they can talk or even share some of the action during features.

Neill Whyte, Microgaming’s Head of Product, declared that their team of casino games developers have been incredibly busy in 2015, with over 40 different games being released. Two of the games he mentioned were Bridesmaids and Hot as Hades. About 30 games were released in HTML5 format, to be used on mobile devices, with two popular examples being Happy Holidays and Basketball Star. The keyword for 2016 seems to be “diversity”, as they start out with a spooky title and an Asian one.
