MPN has just announced that they’re starting off a new series, called Escalator, which will have 8 days worth of tournaments, with prizes guaranteed at €200,000. The start of the Escalator tournament series will be on April 9th, 2017. It will be a No Limit Hold’em tournament.
With each new day that you advance in the series, you will find that the tournaments will go deeper each time, adding bigger level lengths and stack sizes. The first day will kick off with a Flip tournament of €1, and by the last day you will get to a €320 Main Event. That last tournament will have €75,000 in guaranteed prizes, 15 minute levels and a total of 10,000 chips to start with.
On top of this escalation series, there will also be a bonus promotion, which will reward the players that are part of a minimum of 10 events. Those players will receive a ticket with a value of €22, which will allow them to attend the Mega Satellite for the Main Event, taking place on April 16th.
Escalator is the more recent concept launched by Microgaming Poker Network, but it’s definitely not the only one they offer. In addition to Escalator, they also offer tournaments like The Classic (just regular events, back to basics type), Universal Championship of Poker (the best series, with huge prizes and rewards for engaging players), Four Card Fright Fest (dedicated to Omaha poker) and Festival of Speed (everything is faster here).
Alex Scott, from Microgaming, declared that they’re dedicated to growing their tournaments for 2017, and to continue to improve on what they already achieved in 2016. Escalator is just the latest product to be included in the MPN portfolio, and they’re confident that existing and new players alike will enjoy the variety that is available in it.
The satellite events to enter Escalator started out since March 17th, 2017, the smallest buy-ins being as low as €0.22. Access to the tournaments can also be obtained with the help of loyalty points or with existing tournament tickets which are already owned.
