Taylorian Productions Receives Support From Microgaming, For a New Production

The PlayItForward, from Microgaming, has announced that their latest supported project is a new production that comes from Taylorian Productions, which is called “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”. This new show will open this year, on August 7th, and it will be performed at Gaiety Theatre.

This is not the first time that Microgaming has helped Taylorian Production with a play. In 2016, it was an adaptation for the stage, done for Oliver, while this year they went with a family musical, a classic. It’s a musical that has been performed for a very long time, and which had the original composition and lyrics from Tim Rice and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber. Isle of Man’s inhabitants will be able to enjoy this new production this summer.

The cast features a total of 50 performers, with quite a few of the more talented youngsters of the island present among them. The choreography and direction will be handled by Chris Cuming. As for the songs that will be performed as part of this production, you can expect familiar ones like Those Canaan Days, Close Every Door To Me or Any Dream Will Do.

The producer, Matt James, declared that they’re busy rehearsing the play, especially since there are less than two months now until it is released. This is a show that has endured for a long time, which is testament to its attraction and is in part due to the number of great songs that it contains.

Microgaming’s Claire Coleman mentioned how proud they are to be able to support the arts scene of Isle of Man. They look forward to seeing the play of this year, after being blown away by the production of Oliver from 2016.

If you want to see the show yourself, you will find that it will be available between August 7th and 19th, at Gaiety Theatre. The performances will be at 7:30 PM in the evening, or during the afternoon at 2:30PM for Saturday 12th and 19th. Tickets are already available for sale.
