The collaboration started back in 2013, when Danske Spill signed their contract with Prima Networks Ltd, which were powered by Microgaming, through Betware. Following this deal, Betware started delivering the games from Microgaming to Danske Spil, which had access to instant titles and bingo this way.
Thanks to the new gaming license, which Danske Spil obtained from the Danish Gambling Authority, Spillemyndigheden, the lottery will now be allowed to operate rooms which will also be made available to players from outside the country. The move to the Bingo Network from Microgaming was made on March 7th, 2018, and thanks to it the lottery will be able to take advantage of a higher player liquidity, so there will be bigger jackpots and additional games on offer.
According to the Danske Licens Spil Head of Product, Soren Schneider, it was quite important for the company to have a strong product, now that the Bingo game as been made widely available in Denmark. They’re trying to remain leaders in this market and to continue to grow. The move to another bingo network, the one from Microgaming, should help insure that.
Microgaming, speaking through Jean-Luc Ferriere, welcomed Danske Spil to their platform and mentioned that they’re already seeing positive signs from players and the company.
