MPN, which is short for Microgaming Poker Network, has announced that they’re bringing back UCOP, or Universal Championship of Poker, and it will happen this autumn. This will be the fifth time that this championship is organized by Microgaming, and it will have a total of 94 events, with €1 million in guaranteed prizes.

UCOP will start on September 15th, and it will run until the 29th. During this time, the championship will offer various formats, where the buy-in amount will be anywhere between €2.20 and €320. Hundreds of satellite events will be organized, and the leaderboard in place will offer over €20,000 in prizes.

Beginning from September 1st, 2019, you can get seats at the tournament with help from daily satellites, which will be organized at all MPN poker rooms that participate. To guarantee yourself a place at the Main Event, at one of its 100 seats, you will get a chance at a Mega Feeder event, with a €22 buy-in, taking place on September 29th. There is also a Freeroll Rebuy Feeder daily, plus direct feeder satellites which allow for entry into other events from UCOP.

The major highlights of this competition will include the Main Event, with €100,000 guaranteed, and it will take place on September 29th. Others are the High Roller event, with €45,000 guaranteed, organized that same day. The 6 Max Freezeout has €30,000 in guaranteed prizes, and it takes place on September 22nd. Get certain achievements completed, to get a ticket for a €110 buy-in at the Main Event.

The champion from 2018, Mantas Urbonas, will be returning in order to defend his crown. He mentions that having €1 million in guaranteed prizes is a big reason not to miss any of the events which are organized. He wants to win at least one of those events, but his sights remain on the Main Event again.

In order to win the title of Greatest Poker Player in the Universe, a leaderboard is organized for the UCOP series. The winner gets several cash prizes and tickets to various tournaments. Another eight players will also get a Player’s Choice prize, with a pick from several options.

Winners of the events from UCOP will get qualified to participate at Tournament of Champions, which takes place on October 6th.
