Aliyas Wishes Slot Review
Microgaming has announced that Fortune Factory Studios has a brand new exclusive title to offer at their casinos, as part of the partnership program that they have with them, along with a lot of other small companies. It’s a genie themed game, but one where a woman called Aliya is the beneficiary of those granted wishes. The name of the slot is Aliya’s Wishes.
Aliya’s Wishes doesn’t have a different setup than most, you still get 5 reels & 20 lines, same as in many others. It does some things differently feature wise though, using a combination of Rolling Reels, Free Spins, Multiplier Trails and Wilds. As a game with high volatility, it manages to keep the RTP at 96%, and it pays up to 3,119x the stake.
Betting and Prizes
Your wagers in Aliya’s Wishes will start from a minimum of just $0.10. You get 20 lines in exchange, and there is also the option to spend up to $30 per spin, if you want to risk more. Activating the Win Booster option will double the wager, to $60, but it also increases the RTP.
The rewards of this game are pretty good, without being at the top, not when you compare the reward of up to 3,119x the stake, with the High volatility which is mentioned in this case. Since the Return to Player is still at a 96% that I find acceptable, I’d say that it’s more of a matter of the way the game was built, its fairness is not disputed. If you use the Win Booster option, then the RTP of the game is at an even better 96.50%.
Aliya’s Wishes Slot Features
Among several other features, you will discover the wild symbol, which takes the form of the Treasure Chest. It’s a substitute, a fairly normal one, which you use only in combination with regular symbols.
When you form winning combinations, there will always be a mechanic that removes the symbols which are part of them, and allows others to come in. It’s the Rolling Reels feature, which we see in plenty of games right now.
What’s great about the Rolling Reels, is that there are multipliers tied into them. You get the regular prize on the first spin, with multipliers of 2x, 3x and then 5x, for the next three. If the Win Booster option is on, then you get multipliers at 2x for the regular rounds, while next ones are at 5x, 8x or 21x.
With scattered Magic Lamps present, 3 to 5 times, you get 10, 15 or 20 free games. In this mode, the multipliers are 2x to 21 for the regular rolls, or 5x to 50x if you had Win Booster on.
To get the free spins to retrigger, you need the same Magic Lamps on the reels, appearing 3 to 5 times.
Theme & Design
It’s the usual story of the Genie from the lamp, the one granting wishes to whoever sets him free. Here, it’s a girl called Aliyah that does it, rather than Aladdin, which is usually the hero. We find additional symbols with the Genie, Vizir, Prince, Sultan, dagger, paper scrolls, bags of jewelry, books and jugs. I enjoyed the design, as the quality is fairly high for it.
Aliya’s Wishes looks like a game that will be appreciated by players which prefer high volatility, something that Microgaming doesn’t seem to specialize in, at least not lately.
