Apollos Rings Slot Machine: Review & Demo

Apollos Rings Slot Demo

You’re looking at 5x2 reels and a game engine called Halo Reels, which expands outwards from the initial game area. The wins of up to 3,599x the stake are not that inviting, but medium volatility and a 96.14% RTP might still convince some players to check it out. Its main features are the Halo Reels, Apollo Prizes, multipliers, and free spins.

Apollo’s Rings Betting and Prizes

With a complete betting range that starts as low as $0.25 and goes up to $50, this slot machine is accessible to most players.

The most that Apollo’s Rings seems capable of paying is 3,559x the stake. Most would be amazed by a prize like that, but a medium volatility rating helps improve it, and the RTP will go up to 96.14% (RTP range).

Slot Features

You start with 10 symbols initially, arranged on two rows of 5 symbols each. You will trigger the Halo Reel system if matching symbols connect on different rows. This expands the game area with symbols in all directions, so you go from 5x2 to 7x4 symbols. This can happen three times, after which the game area resets. The wild symbols can help there.

You will also notice an area with Halo Round Awards, modifiers that can bring in multipliers and blank positions, alongside an Apollo Prize. You can get multipliers applied to wins or claim the prize. Up to 10x multipliers are available, and the Apollo Prize can increase in value.

The main feature consists of 5 bonus spins, for which you will need 2 scatter symbols visible. You can retrigger this feature via special Retrigger Awards, but you can also get multiplier boosts. These special symbols are turned into wilds if they’re part of wins.

Theme & Design

The theme is not unusual, as Greek gods have been main characters in slots many times before. The implementation is highly unusual, though. You’re looking at a blonde and bronzed Apollo that almost resembles a Japanese Anime character. The symbols are basic, showing things like planets, the Sun, the Moon, a wild symbol, or the owl.

Conclusion

I’m not a big fan of how Apollo’s Rings slot plays, but someone bored with the usual slots might enjoy it anyway. It takes a bit of playing to get used to it and figure out if you’re a fan or a hater. I’m not sure there can be a middle ground with this one.
