Carnaval Slot Review
Carnaval, from Microgaming, is a slot that seems to be inspired by the Mardi Grass celebrations. It has things like clowns, music instruments and a lot of decorations, but unfortunately it uses a lot of poker cards as well. The graphics style might not be something that you’re a fan of either. Among its features, expect to discover things like wild symbols, a scatter, and that’s about it. The slot offers 5 reels with 9 win lines placed on them, while big payouts of up to 5,000x are expected, with a value of $25,000.
Betting and Prizes
Since 9 lines are in use if you choose to select them all, you will need 9 coins for the wager to cover everything. For each of those coins, there is a denomination that is anywhere between $0.25 and $5, which would allow for a top wager of $45 to be made per round.
The promise here is that a payout of 5,000 coins will be made if you land a combo of five Carnaval Logo icons. The most you would be able to walk away with would be a $25,000 cash prize.
Carnaval Slot Features
Feature wise, online slot from Microgaming Carnaval doesn’t seem to be very generous, with only a wild and a scatter among the features which can trigger, with nothing extra attached to them.
First, we have a Wild Logo, with feathers and beads used as decorations for it. The wild’s role in any game is to substitute for other symbols, which happens when the symbol lands on a payline which has the rest of the requirements met for a combo, missing just one symbol. The wild has to land in that exact spot where the symbol is missing, to be able to replace it. Wild symbols will not replace scatters, and in this game they do not offer prizes directly either.
The other feature is the Scatter Logo, the only symbol to be able to offer a prize without being on a payline. You need 3, 4 or 5 scatters, and you will be offered in exchange a cash prize of 2x, 10x or 50x the triggering bet.
Theme & Design
The atmosphere in Carnaval slot is a very cheerful one, what you would expect from a celebration where beautiful women and great music are involved. You’re going to notice clowns as well on its reels though, along with poker cards which would belong in a circus themed game, based on the way they were done. In the end, you’re going to find that it’s a slot machine with a slightly dated look.
I’ve found it a rather limited slot machine, due in part to its 9 paylines, a low number for a slot machine, but also because its features are so standard and boring. It’s not a game for players that want modern titles with superb graphics and lots of features to enjoy, but it might be a solution for someone that prefers titles that are more on the classic side.
