Yggdrasil: The Tree of Life is a game that is available at Microgaming casinos. The story behind it has to do with Nordic mythology, where the Yggdrasil was the name of a huge tree, which was used as an entrance into the various worlds, including into Asgard. The developer created a gorgeous game for it, with the leaves and branches of a huge tree being used as support for the reels. You have night on the left side, and dawn on the right half of the screen. As features, there are scatters, bonus games and a wild. The big prize will give you $15,000, and to get it you need to wager on its 5 reels, and get the 243 ways to win active.
Betting and Prizes
Like it often happens, to get all the ways to win active, you need to use paylines. It’s just for betting purposes though, as the combinations will be formed on neighboring reels. You need 25 lines for wagers, and for each one you use 1 to 10 coins. You pick the coin value also, the maximum denomination being $1. The most you can spend is $250.
The big payout is going to give you 1,500x the line bet, so up to 15,000 coins, or $15,000 cash.
Yggdrasil: The Tree Of Life Slot Features
The Yggdrasil Logo is a scatter, which the game uses like slots always do. Scatters are needed on the reels of the slot, but the position is not important. You need 3 or more, to get a prize of 1x to 20x the bet, and to also trigger the bonus game.
Once the bonus game has loaded, you will find that there are three areas that you can go through, all of them part of the tree. They start with the Roots, and then you move on to the Trunk and to Branches. Each area gives you 10 items to choose from. You get coins from these items, or you can get the message to move on to the next level. Once you get to the Branches, you get coins or Collect (which ends the feature). It’s a simple feature, but it will pay until you reach the third level, so it doesn’t kick you out until then.
The Warrior is the wild symbol in this case. You use it to get more winning combinations, as it has a power that allows it to take the role of another, should it first land where it is required. Wilds will not substitute for scatters though.
Theme & Design
I enjoyed the design of Yggdrasil very much. It mostly has to do with nature, so besides a logo and the warrior icon, you get various wild animals and some poker cards. Among the wild animals, there are squirrels, a deer, a dragon and an owl.
It’s going to be a game that you will love because of the graphics, but which is average when it comes to prizes, and its features aren’t terribly impressive either.
